Led by vocalist/multi instrumentalist Peter Fuhry, San Francisco's band Beyond-O-Matic have been 'putting the fun back in trippy space rock since 1995.True to they word, this album takes you on a tongue-in-cheek trip into the cosmos with a droning riffs and hypnotic beats. Set the controls for the heart of the fun.
On Beyond-O-Matic's second Trail Records release (the fifth of they cereer), the veteran improv-prog pioneers "explore the inner
space between us as live , love. laugh, age. heal and reach for meaning and enlightenment".
Compiled from improvised session in San Francisco in May of 2012, shaped and enhanced for over a year, the album contains the usual dose of frontman Peter Fuhry' layered vocals and unusual instruments telepathically interacting with the soaring synthesizrs and effects of Kurt Stenzel, set to grooving drums and cymbals of Anthony Koustos.
The result? Extended emotional sonic adventures that sizzle with drama, humaility and humanity.

Old school Japanese fuzzed out psych from the classic P.S.F. label. Of the same cloth and time as similar Japanese monster bands Fushitsusha & High Rise, these tracks are less avant-garde than those bands and more focused on the songs and melody. Of course when discussing "Out" the stupendous playing of guitar master Michio Kurihara (later of the Japanese band Ghost) must be stated which sets the album on fire. I have been wanting to score this on vinyl for over a decade, totally worth the wait!
